This is a print of a photograph taken on South Padre Island, TX. The gulf croton (Croton punctatus) hangs out and spreads rapidly on the beach side of the dunes. It is not normally violet, but I was experimenting with light and color and really liked the violet juxtaposition of the buildings and plants.
